Meh. Don't like the ruling either but I'd suggest reserving your ire towards Bush nominees for decisions that didn't go 6-3 with the Court's liberals apparently supporting the more literal reading of the Constitution.

It would have been 5-4 if not for Breyer's cop-out on a weird technicality that the principal can't be held liable.
Otherwise it's the liberal members erring on the side of the First Amendment and the rest erring on the side of...I dunno...being able to punish kids you find annoying.
