Confusing genes and people
You know, I generally like Maureen Dowd, but this op-ed is assinine pseudo-science. The translation between genes and traits, particularly high-level traits like personality, is extremely complex. To say that the second X expresses more genes than the Y means women are more varied and complex than men is a misleading oversimplification. It may be, for instance, that all those "extra" genes are simply coding for different eyelash shapes. We have no idea.
