I just hope schoolchildren of the future look back on this time the same way we look back on the pre-civil rights era, thinking to ourselves, "What the fuck was wrong with them?"
It's so telling that amendments attempting to close loopholes for the rich were killed. Blows my mind that anyone with an income of less than $100k could vote Republican.
