Microsoft...not evil?
Oh, I love it...I can just see the brains of all the anti-Microsoft Linux people exploding. How _do_ you reconcile the Evil Empire with its recent public calls to reform the patent system? :)

pffft... Microsoft isn't worried about the "small investor" getting too many patents. It's worried about the other big investors that will fight it for key patents. It's a lot easier for MSFT to buy a new search technology from, i dunno, me, than for them to make an offer to Google for the same thing. So heck yeah, they want to make the process easier for me to get ownership. I'm cheap. I don't want to be number one in any of their businesses. The "largest companies" they're talking about do.
